Mena Alexandra (born on February 13, 1979) is a model and actress from the United States of America. She started her modeling career in 1990. Soon after, she moved to acting after appearances as a guest on TV shows such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. In 1997 the year she first made an appearance as a film actor on Nowhere. Her roles were in American Beauty, for which she won a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie brought her to broader recognition. In 2000, she appeared alongside her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. Then, she played the main role for the role of Sugar & Spice (2002). There were appearances on her in the independent drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. In 2004, she appeared in HBO's series Six Feet Under. She received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award in 2005, as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, she featured in several films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh or the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari is a model for Lancome cosmetics and print ads of Lancome Paris Adaptive as well as has been featured in several fashion blogs and magazines like Vogue. She has been a patron and campaigner in the African Medical and Research Foundation, a prestigious charity that offers relief to Africa. The organization is also active in matters of empowerment for women and works with organizations that promote awareness of breast cancer and The End Violence Against Women Campaign.
